Gloria Solar Co. Ltd
Established in August 2006, Gloria Solar is a joint venture between E-Ton Solar Tech, global computer manufacturer Acer, Taiwanese automotive maker Yulon Group and car sunroof maker Hsin Chong Machinery. Located at the Tainan Technology Park, the company's focuses on the design and manufacture of silicon wafers. Other areas of operation
include spearheading the R&D, sales and marketing of related products such as solar sunroofs.
In line with E-Ton's commitment to product quality and service excellence, a parent company, Gloria Solar International Holding Inc , was incorporated in 2009. Its subsidiary firms Gloria Solar Co, Adema Technologies Inc and Gloria Solar International B.V. serve a global network of clients based in Asia, the United States and Europe, respectively. Together, they ensure that E-Ton's clients reap the comprehensive benefits of a fully integrated solar supply chain.
Today, GIH's suite of products ranges from conventional solar silicon wafers and building integrated photovoltaics (BIPVs), to those from emerging sub-sectors such as car sunroofs. The individual specifications of GIH's offerings can be customized for use in locations such as Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Portugal, the United States, Japan and Taiwan, which are all important client bases for GIH. The company's current customers include solar power plant developers and PV module dealers.
Auria Solar was founded in October 2007, the result of a joint venture with Lite-On Tech Corp, Hermes-Epitek Corp, and MiTac-Synnex Group. The company focuses on pioneering R&D and production of micromorph thin-film solar modules, and its manufacturing plant is currently the biggest such one in Taiwan.
In the E-Ton family, we recognize that demand for energy is accelerating on a daily basis. Besides advocating the use of solar power, we have also taken concrete steps towards mitigating the escalating usage of fossil fuels and its resulting impact on the world we live in.
All our companies under the Group embrace this philosophy, and are dedicated to improving the environment through the development of sustainable technology and energy solutions. One example is E-Ton Motor Tech, which evolved from a conventional automotive company to being a major manufacturer of green-powered vehicles, such as All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and electric cars, today.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Ensuring a better quality of life is not just part of E-Ton's business but its beliefs as well. For this reason, the Group set up a philanthropic foundation so called Ji-EE Social Welfare philanthropic foundation on November 10, 1998.
Under the direction of Chairman Stephen Wu , the Foundation adopts a two-pronged approach towards helping the community, by enhancing social welfare and strengthening environmental protection. The Foundation's key focus includes providing subsidized medical aid to the needy and less-fortunate, as well as supporting charitable causes for all members of society, regardless of age and gender.
The Foundation also supports environmental research through a scholarship program, which recognizes individuals with innovative green research ideas.
